Last updated: 25 August 2026

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking a meeting with Dear Modern.

Currency

Prices are listed in GBP (Great British Pounds). If you make a booking in another currency, your bank or payment provider will automatically convert the amount using its applicable exchange rate.

Booking Times

All appointment times are shown in 24-hour format and are automatically adjusted to your local time zone.

If you accidentally book the wrong time, please email us as soon as possible. We will do our best to find a more suitable timeslot, subject to availability.

Sending Information

You may send information about your home, including photographs, measurements and floor plans, up to 48 hours before your meeting.

Please ensure that any information you provide is accurate and complete enough for us to prepare for your consultation, but if not, don't worry, we will make it work.

Rescheduling

You can reschedule your meeting at any time up to one week before your appointment.

You can choose any available date shown on our website. If you need an earlier date for an urgent reason, please contact us and we will do our best to find an alternative, subject to availability.

If an unexpected emergency arises within one week of your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. While we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate a late change, we will always do our best to help.

Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that plans can change, so our cancellation policy is designed to provide flexibility while ensuring that reserved appointment times can be fairly managed.

More than 1 week before your meeting:
You may cancel your booking for a full refund. Please email us to request a cancellation. We will respond within 48 hours to process the refund.

Between 1 week and 48 hours before your meeting:
You may cancel your booking and receive a 70% refund.

Within 48 hours of your meeting:
Unfortunately, cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment are not refundable, as the appointment time has been reserved specifically for you.

No-shows:
Bookings that are missed without prior notice are not refundable.

If an unexpected emergency arises, please contact us. We will consider the circumstances and, where possible, try to find a reasonable solution.

Duration of Meetings

Meeting durations shown on our website represent the maximum allocated time for each meeting.

Depending on the nature of the consultation and the questions being discussed, a meeting may naturally finish earlier than the maximum stated duration.

If there are questions that we have not had time to cover during the meeting, you may ask them afterwards where this is included as part of your selected service.

Questions and Follow-ups

For priority services that include follow-up questions, you may ask follow-up questions for up to one year after the original meeting

Follow-up questions should relate to the advice provided during the original consultation and should generally be closed-ended questions that do not require the creation of new drawings, floor plans or substantial additional design work.

Requests that require new design work, extensive research or new drawings may require a separate consultation.

Social Media and Client Privacy

We respect the privacy of our clients and will never publish, share or feature your personal information, photographs, floor plans, home, project or other materials you provide to us on our social media channels or other public platforms without your prior express permission.

If we would like to share any aspect of your project, including photographs, videos, screenshots, design work or details about your home, we will always obtain your permission before anything is published.

You are always free to decline permission, and doing so will have no effect on the Service you receive from Dear Modern.

Nature of Our Advice

Dear Modern provides advice relating to, spatial planning, Feng Shui and the use and experience of space, depending on the service booked.

Our advice is based on the information you provide and on our professional experience and design approach. We cannot guarantee that particular design recommendations will produce a specific financial, commercial, health, personal or other outcome but will treat your case with as much care as we would our own loved ones.

Where measurements, plans, photographs or other information supplied by you are incomplete or inaccurate, our advice may necessarily be based on those limitations but we will make allowances for inaccuracies if necessary to maximise workability.
